Scrimmage 10/29/2025 The Lady Cougars traveled to Anderson last night to battle the Indians in a Pre-Season Scrimmage. The evening consisted of 5 quarters with a 15 minute running clock. On the night the Cougars won 4 out of the 5 quarters with the only loss coming on a well-defended Logo 3 as time expired in the 1st quarter. As is typical of most scrimmages there were moments of great play, as well as moments where we struggled. All 14 girls who played had bright spots to build on, alon g with some areas that require further attention. Leading the Cougars offensively were Izzy Silcox and Lexi Kerkhof with 19 and 17 points respectively. Overall, 9 out of the 14 girls who saw action scored for the Cougars. The Cougars will be back in the gym tonight to build on the positives from last night and to work on weaknesses we encountered. The Lady Cougars officially open their season up next Tuesday, November 4 as they travel to Lapel to take on the Bulldogs. JV tip-off is at 6:00 with the Varsity to begin at approximately 7:30. Our home opener is next Thursday against Martinsville. JV tip-off is again at 6:00 with the Varsity to follow afterwards.
