Varsity Volleyball Falls to Triton Central 3-1

The varsity volleyball team played in a close, competitive game against Triton Central for their last match of the regular season. The Cougars were in control of the first set, taking an early lead of 13-7. Triton Central tied it up 17-17, but GC came out on top 25-22. The Cougars struggled to hold onto that momentum, and Triton Central maintained a large lead throughout the second set. The Tigers took set two 25-16. The third set mirrored the second, with Triton Central staying in control and pushing for a 25-17 win. The fourth set started out point-for-point, with teams tied 8-8. The Tigers went on a run and brought the score to 15-10, and later 22-15. GC didn't give up, and they chipped away at Triton Central's lead until the score was 24-23. After a final timeout, the Tigers closed out the fourth set with a 25-23 win. Varsity volleyball finishes their regular season with a 16-12 record.
