Despite starting the game with an early lead of 5-0 in the first set, the Cougars couldn't hold on long enough to clinch the win in set one. By getting stuck on the receiving end of Mt. Vernon's serve, GC dropped the first set 25-13. Once again the Cougars started out with a decent lead of 6-2 in the second set. Then the Marauders battled back with powerful serves and attacking to close out Tuesday night's match with a 25-19 win in set two. JV volleyball is now 7-5 this season.
