The match started off evenly, with both teams creating chances early on. At the 27th minute, Paige McCarley fired a shot that just missed left, staying in play. One minute later, McCarley had another attempt saved by the goalkeeper, followed by a wide-left effort from Mia Brinkruff. McCarley kept the pressure on with another attempt in the 36th minute, but moments later Delta capitalized and scored to take a 1-0 lead. GC goalkeeper Carol Felver made a key save just before halftime to keep the score close. Halftime: GC 0 - Delta 1 In the second half, Kinley Smith took an early shot at the 2:30 mark, saved by the Delta keeper. At 5:30, Aubrey Bush made a strong attack from the left side, but at 7:45 Delta converted a free kick to extend their lead to 2-0. Bush answered with another shot inside the box at the 17th minute, again saved. At the 19th minute, Lucy Blanton sent in a great service to Bush, whose shot was denied by the keeper. The breakthrough came at the 29th minute when McCarley delivered a perfect service into the box and Bush finished, pulling GC back within one at 2-1. McCarley nearly equalized seconds later with a free kick that went just wide but earned a corner. Unfortunately, at 39:30 Delta added another goal to secure the result. Final: Delta 3 – GC 1 Despite the scoreline, the effort and fight from GC continue to stand out. The players have given everything in each match, never giving up until the final whistle.
