Men's XC Finishes 9th at Rick Weinheimer Invitational

The Cougars finished 9th of 22 schools in the big school division, and 9th of 39 overall schools with Columbus North, Noblesville, and Bloomington North taking the top 3 spots. Bryce Cotterman was the top Cougar in the competitive race finishing 28th in 16:10 (PR). Braylon Mumaugh finished 44th in 16:35 which was just shy of where he was at this point last year. David Wasson finished 51st in 16:48. Adam Shields had a great race breaking 18:00 for the first time finishing 97th in 17:50 (PR). Freshman, Maeson Robinson, like Shields ran well and broke 18:00 for the first time finishing 100th in 17:52 (PR). In all 3 5k's so far, Jaxon Conaway and MIchael Peterson have been within 2 seconds of each other with only 5 seconds total difference in the 3 races. Conaway was 2 seconds ahead of Peterson finishing 116th in 18:15 (PR) and Peterson was 120th in 18:17 (PR). Otto Sickels ran his first race since the middle of track season, and it was a great start to the season! He finished 129th in 18:38. Parker Lawson ran a pr finishing 146th in 19:16 (PR). Fred Gordon finished 156th in 19:45. In the JV race, the Cougars finished 11th of 16 teams. Columbus North, Noblesville, and Bloomington North were the top 3 teams in that race as well. Hunter Wiswell ran a great race dropping over a minute and a half to finish 70th in 19:16 (PR). Nick Ryba was close to where he was last season finishing 110th in 20:19. Josiah Johnson was 140th in 21:07 (PR). Freshman, Henry Clossey, ran well dropping almost a minute to finish 182nd in 22:34 (PR). Kaden Tompkins finished 200th in 23:44. Elijah Johnson dropped over a minute to finish 208th in 24:30 (PR).
