GC beats New Pal 4-1

GC Boys Tennis Defeats New Pal 4-1, Now 2-0 in Conference The Greenfield-Central boys tennis team picked up a strong 4-1 win over New Palestine, improving to 2-0 in conference play. Alex Michalek was first off the court with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles. Nathan Roberts followed at No. 1 singles with a solid 6-1, 6-4 win. Ethan Ortwein and Raleigh Gantt clinched the match for GC at No. 2 doubles, grinding out a 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 win. Andrew White secured the fourth point at No. 3 singles, coming through in three sets: 6-1, 2-6, 6-2. In a hard-fought battle at No. 1 doubles, Jacob Welch and Kasen Jarnecke came up just short, falling 3-6, 7-5, 2-6. The JV team also had a strong showing, defeating New Palestine 8-5.
