Men's Cross Country places 4th at the Plainfield Hokum Karem

The Cougars finished 4th in the 14 team Hokum Karem Invitational at Plainfield to Westfield (14), Franklin Community (32), and Northview (38). The Cougars (44) were just ahead of Whiteland (48), and Mooresville led the rest of the field (60). The top pair of Bryce Cotterman and David Wasson (30:38) were 6th. Cotterman averaged 4:57 for the 3 one mile repeats, second only to Franklin Community's Liam Fennig who averaged 4:53 for 3 miles. Wasson averaged 5:15. The second scoring pair for the Cougars was Jack Wait and Henry Rahe who finished 12th in 31:22. Wait averaged 5:12, while Rahe averaged 5:15. The final scoring pair was Braylon Mumaugh and Adam Shields who finished 26th in 32:51. Mumaugh averaged 5:14 and shields averaged 5:43. The fourth pair for the Cougars was Jaxon Conaway and Michael Peterson in 34:13. Conaway averaged 5:41, and Peterson averaged 5:44. The final pair was freshman, Maeson Robinson, and Hunter Wiswell in 35:27. Robinson averaged 5:41, and Wiswell averaged 6:08. In the 3200 JV race, freshman, Parker Lawson, led the way with a 25th place finish in 12:00. Fred Gordon was the next Cougar in 12:31, followed by Nick Ryba 12:59, and Josiah Johnson 14:14. Two freshmen who showed good competitive spirt battling it out with each other were Noah Harrison 14:19 and Henry Clossey 14:29 both of whom negative split their miles. Elijah Johnson ran 15:05, and Kaden Tompkins ran 15:36.
