Women's cross Country places 3rd at Plainfield Relays; Brinkruff/Kinnaman win Hokum Karem, set record

The Greenfield-Central women's cross country team placed third at the Plainfield Relays on Saturday. The pair of Mia Brikruff and Josie Kinnaman placed first in the 6 mile relay, setting a new school record in a combined time of 34:53.05, beating the old school record set in 2019 by Audrey Brinkruff and Reagan Crouch. The team of Kamryn Smith and Adalyn Cole placed 12th in a time of 38:11.92, the fourth fastest time in school history. Rounding out the scoring pairs were the team of Harper Rahe and Taylor Cooksey, placing 22nd in a time of 40:46.00, the 10th fastest in school history. Also participating in the Hokum Karem were the teams of Addison Gordon/Cerenity Minchin (37th) and the team of Ashlyn Devlin/Aspen Wiswell (46th). Paige Coughenour led the JV 2 mile race placing 42nd. Lily Gordon ()65th), Kaiden Frischkorn (73rd), and Annabelle Seats (84th) also competed. Team Scores: 1. Westfield - 16 2. Whiteland - 33 3.
