The varsity volleyball team found Greensburg to be a challenging opponent Wednesday night. The Pirates came out strong and got off to a run early in the first set. The Cougars were unable to come back from their deficit and dropped the set 16-25. Once again, Greensburg led the start of the second set 8-0. The Cougars went point for point with them the rest of the set but they ultimately lost set two 17-25. GC gained some momentum early in the third set, and it was looking like it might be a closer game. Despite their best efforts and multiple ties in the score, the Greensburg attack was too strong to handle, and they took the third set 25-18. Varsity volleyball is now 0-2 this season after facing two tough opponents.
