Sectional Champion Zach Blevens leads 15 Cougars to Regionals

In the first field event of the night, senior, Zach Blevens, won the Sectional in the discus by throwing 152'10". His freshman teammate, Von Quigley, finished runner up with a throw of 145'07". Blevens' victory proved to be the only victory of the night for the Cougars, but 15 Cougars qualified for the Regional in 10 different events. Of the 15 qualifiers, 7 are underclassmen. Three freshmen advanced (Quigley: discus, Jack Wait: 3200, and Will Erwin: 4x4), and they all finished runner-up. Eight Cougars ran or threw a personal record during the meet.
