Cougars Sweep Pendleton Heights Behind Rhodes’ Dominance

The Greenfield-Central Varsity Cougars completed a series sweep over Pendleton Heights on Wednesday night with a 4-1 road win. The Cougars jumped ahead in the 4th inning and never looked back, powered by timely hitting and another electric performance from Parker Rhodes on the mound. Rhodes struck out 13 batters over 5.2 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 1 earned run to earn the win. Carson Richardson closed the door with 1.1 scoreless innings and 2 strikeouts to lock in the victory. Offensively, Greenfield-Central was led by Brady Johnson, who finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Zander Cobb went 2-for-4 with a double, while Dylan Luther collected two hits including a double. Hayden Kidd added a 2-RBI double to spark a 3-run fourth inning that broke the game open. The Cougars move to 10-7 on the season and 7-3 in HHC play.
