The Girls tennis team picked up a solid team win Tuesday night against Lapel. Claire Davidson was first off the court at #2 Singles, setting the tone with a smooth 6-2, 6-1 win. Shortly after, Lucy Stewart and Lauren Page dominated at #2 Doubles, cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory. At #1 Singles, Kate Gilkison kept the momentum going with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 win. In the night’s most intense match, Anna McQueeney and Kaydence Ham came back from a set down to win 6-7(6), 6-4, 13-11 at #1 Doubles, sealing the match in dramatic fashion. Tanessa O’Neal played tough at #3 Singles but fell 3-6, 2-6. Meanwhile, the JV team dominated across the board, sweeping 7-0 with victories from Lila Wagner, Nevaeh Carmichael, Chaille Frye, Kate Baker, Lilly Stoots, Bella Hurst, Ally Lewis, Payton Mayberry, Chloe Takach, and Janessa Gannon.
