G.C. Varsity Softball defeated reigning 4A champs Hamilton Southeastern 4-1 Tuesday night. Savvanna Riall lead the way for the offense going 3 for 3 at the plate, including a 2 run home run and a single that plated 2 more runs. Kristen Wineinger went 2 for 2, scored twice and walked once. Ailea Dowdy pitched an outstanding game striking out 6, and keeping a powerful offense down all night for a complete game win. The defense turned 2 double plays and made a perfect relay from left field to the plate to cut down a Royal runner. Varsity's next game will be this Friday night at Noblesville, weather permitting.
