Cougars MBB goes 21-3 while Mullins breaks scoring record!

Greenfield Central Cougars went on the road to Perry Meridian for the regular season finale and came out with a 72-44 victory to improve to 21-3 on the season. Over the last four regular seasons, the Cougars are 66-4. In the decisive victory, Braylon Mullins became Greenfield Centrals all time leading scorer as he netted two free throws in the third quarter. Mullins broke the record held by John Hamilton Jr. Mullins lead the Cougars with 24 points on 60% shooting from the field. Mullins had 5 boards and 6 steals. Senior Mikey Johnson pitched in 18 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 assists. Boston Willard was also in double figures with 12 points while dishing out 9 assists and having 4 steals and 2 boards. Brady Johnson had 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist. Dallas Freeman added 3 points, 5 boards, 3 steals and 2 assists. Tucker Brown had 2 points and 5 boards. Cooper Robertson had 3 boards and 2 points. Others in the scoring column were Clay Mullins, Brody Willard, and Cooper Hinton. The Cougars travel to the Muncie Central sectional on Tuesday March 4th and will play Pendleton Heights in the second game around 7:30 pm that evening.
