Greenfield Central dropped their first regular season home game since December 2022 as the Cougars lost 79-70 to the Lawrence Central Bears. The Cougars are currently 18-3 on the season and have three regular season games left. The Cougars travel to East Central on Friday and return home on Saturday February 22nd for Senior Night against Martinsville. The Cougars will honor the six senior basketball players of Braylon Mullins, Boston Willard, Dallas Freeman, Brady Johnson, Mikey Johnson and Cooper Robertson along with manager Carter Rankins. In the loss to the Bears, the Cougars had 4 players in double figures. Boston Willard continued his dominance as he almost had a triple double as he added 12 points, 10 assists and 8 steals. Braylon Mullins lead all scorers with 28 points for the Cougars. Senior Mikey Johnson added 11 points while Dallas Freeman pitched in 10 points. The Cougars have 3 regular season contests left before the sectional tournament at Muncie Central. IHSAA tournament draw is set for Sunday February 23rd.
