GC Mens improve to 18-2 with 64-60 over Franklin Central

The Greenfield Central Cougars overcame a 5 point deficit after 3 quarters to win 64-60. While the Flashes shot an impressive 60% from the field including 51% for 3's, the Cougars forced turnovers and made crucial shots down the stretch to defeat the Flashes. The Cougars outscored the Flashes 19-10 in the last frame. The Cougars had 3 players in double figures in the contest. UCONN commit and Mr. Basketball candidate lead the way with 30 points, 3 boards and and 3 assists. Senior point guard Boston Willard added 15 points on 62% shooting from the field while having 4 steals and 3 assists. Mikey Johnson was also in double figures with 11 points on 66% shooting and Johnson added 4 boards, 3 steals and 3 assists. Cooper Robertson added 5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists while junior Tucker Brown had 3 points and 2 boards. Greenfield Central hosts Lawrence Central on Friday night for Cancer Awareness night. Come out and support GC against a terrific LC team.
