Greenfield Central Cougars Mens' Basketball improved to 14-2 as they defeated HHC opponent Pendleton Heights 73-40. In the victory, GC Coach Meredith earned his 100th victory at GC. Coach Meredith stands at an impressive 100-35 record as the Cougars' coach. In the HHC victory that guaranteed the Cougars a share of HHC title, GC was dominant as they shot 54% from the field as a team. Braylon Mullins lead the team with 25 points on 60% shooting while adding 9 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists. Mikey Johnson added an impressive 21 points on 72% field goal shooting while pitching in 7 boards and 3 assists. Senior Dallas Freeman was also in double figures with 14 points on 62% shooting and he also had 2 boards and 2 assists. Point guard Boston Willard continued his dominance on the court with 7 assists while adding 4 points. Others in the scoring column were Brady Johnson with 5 points, Tucker Brown with 2 points and Cooper Robertson with 2 points and grabbed 5 boards. The 14-2 Cougars travel to sectional #9 host Muncie Central on Saturday night. On Thursday, the Cougars host HHC opponent Delta Eagles. The Cougars have the possibility of winning the HHC outright with the victory over the Eagles. Greenfield Central will then host Greenwood on Saturday afternoon.
