Five Cougars wrestled at the Junior Varsity tournament today, with only two placing in the top eight. Hayden Tomey and Izzy House fought hard finishing with (1-2) records. Zaiden Tritch fought hard in both of his matches, listening to his coaches; ultimately finishing with an (0-2) record. In four matches Marshall Swaills made his way to sixth place, keeping GC's standard high; with aggressive wrestling and good listening skills. Swails finished his day (1-3). Jacob Hoover was the last placer of the night finishing 7th. Hoover fought hard through all five of his matches, doing everything he was coached to do. Jacob Hoover finished the day off with a mighty (3-2) record. The Junior Varsity have one more match this year and that will be this upcoming Thursday night at Hamilton Southeastern. Overall a tough day, but the coaching staff is proud of how they wrestled and how they represented the program.
