GC Mens victorious over Indianapolis Shortridge

After a slow start, the Greenfield Central Cougars went on a huge run that ended in a 79-46 victory over Indianapolis Shortridge. The Cougars shot 54% from the field and 70% from the charity stripe. Greenfield Central held Shortridge to 37% shooting from the field while forcing 22 turnovers. After losing the first quarter 19-21, the Cougars won the last 3 quarters 60 to 25 to win 79-46. GC was lead by Mr. Basketball candidate and UCONN commit Braylon Mullins with 37 points on 15-21 shooting from the field. Mullins also added 3 rebounds, 2 steals, an assist and 4 blocks. Mikey Johnson was also in double figures with 18 points while adding 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Dallas Freeman just missed double figures with 9 points while adding 6 boards and 3 steals. Boston Willard had another impressive game with 7 assists, 5 points, 6 boards and 4 steals. Tucker Brown chipped in 3 points, 1 rebound and a steal while Brady Johnson had 3 points, 2 steals and 2 assists. Junior Cole Mullins added 4 points. The 12-2 Cougars host 13-3 HHC opponent Shelbyville on Saturday in an HHC contest that could have a huge impact in the HHC standings. Then the Cougars host HHC opponent Pendleton Heights next Friday and travel to sectional host Muncie Central on Saturday night.
