The Cougars needed overtime to secure a hard-earned victory over conference foe, Mt. Vernon, on Saturday night. Greenfield-Central Boys JV picked up the road win by a score of 41 - 35. After a low scoring first half, G-C outscored the Marauders 31-20 the rest of the way. Cooper Hinton helped set the tone on both ends of the court while chipping in 6 points. Wyatt Freeman connected on three triples to add 9 while Clay Mullins iced the game down the stretch with 3 of 4 from the charity stripe. Blake Evans scored 9 of his 12 in the OT period to cap a great team effort in the win. The JV currently stands at 5-2 on the season and are home this Thursday against New Castle.
