Cougars MBB fall to #1 Fishers in HOF Championship

Greenfield Central earned the opportunity to play in the championship game of the Hall of Fame Classic at New Castle Fieldhouse. This is the first time Greenfield Central has been selected to play in the boys tournament. The Cougars were down by 11 at half to the #1 ranked Fishers Tigers, but clawed back in a competitive game and dropped the game 85-80. Greenfield Central was lead in scoring by Hall of Fame MVP Braylon Mullins. Braylon had 33 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Senior Boston Willard had a fantastic game with 18 points on perfect 4-4 shooting from behind the arc. Boston also added 3 assists and 3 rebounds. Senior guard Mikey Johnson who was named to the HOF All Tournament Team, was also in double figures with 17 points while dishing out 4 assists. Dallas Freeman pitched in 8 points combined with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Brady Johnson was also in scoring column with 3 points while Cooper Robertson hit a free throw. Congratulations to Braylon Mullins on being named the Hall of Fame MVP and to Mikey Johnson for making the all tournament team. Prior to tipoff, senior Brady Johnson was named the Richard P. Jennings Scholarship Award winner, which is sponsored by the HOF Volunteers. Greenfield Central (7-2) hosts the Rushville Lions on Friday January 3rd.
