This run extended the lead to 39-6. In between two forfeits at 190 (Hayden Allen) and 285 (Zach Blevens), Tristan Lanum recorded a dominant first-period fall. At 106 Freshman Kainen shores continued his undefeated season with a 10-2 major decision. The dual ended with two forfeits for Lincoln Parsons and Jett McGuire at 113 and 120 respectively. The Cougars won the Battle for the Box by a score of 73-6. The Battle for the Box is an event in memory of Coach Krieble (PH) and Coach Hamant (GC). Both coaches worked in the trades and passed away unexpectedly. The two men made a difference in countless live and touched the live of many more. They will forever be missed.
