Greenfield-Central Defeats Richmond

The Cougars played an aggressive game Tuesday night, defeating the Red Devils 49-25. Madison Sonsini led the team with 23 points, shooting 13/13 from the free-throw line. Brooklyn McConnell was the second-leading scorer with 14 points, and she also contributed 5 rebounds. Chaney Brown was the team leader in rebounds, finishing with 7; she also contributed 5 points. Izzy Silcox moved the ball well, leading the team in assists with 4, and she also scored 4 points and had 4 rebounds. Defensively, the team held Richmond to single digits in 3 of the 4 quarters. The Cougars recorded 7 steals as a team and forced their opponents to turn the ball over 20 times. The team plays its first Friday home game this Friday at home against Pendleton with a 6pm JV start.
