The Cougars defeated Greenwood 48-27 Thursday evening. Sophomore Izzy Silcox had a great shooting night, leading the team's offense with 22 points. Silcox also contributed 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Madison Sonsini was the team's second-leading scorer with 11 points; she also pulled down 13 rebounds for the Cougars. Also contributing to the offense was Brooklyn McConnell with 6 points and Chaney Brown with 5 points. Brown also had 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Juliann Jones came off the bench, finishing with 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 points while Leilani Forshey also played strong minutes with 2 big rebounds and 1 assist. Addi Herrin recorded 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. The team travels to Center Grove Tuesday with a 6pm JV start.
