The girls varsity volleyball team wrapped up their 2024 season with a loss to Yorktown High School, ranked #2 in the state. The Cougars were eagerly anticipating their chance to fight for a sectional championship, but came up short against the state-ranked team. With Makenna Rankins returning from her ankle injury, Greenfield-Central gave it everything they had. The first set showed some promise as the Cougars were able to compete with Yorktown, but ultimately they came up short 25-17. The next two sets the Tigers took care of business and showed why they are a state-ranked team, topping off the win with a 25-10 victory in set two, and a 25-14 victory in set three. The girls varsity volleyball team finishes their season with a record of 22-10. Congratulations of a great season, ladies!
