The Greenfield-Central women's cross country team record a third place finish in the Mt. Vernon Sectional on Saturday, the highest team finish in school history, earning a spot in next week's Shelbyville Regional.. The team also set a new school record for top-5 average time with an average of 20:37.21. The Cougars were led by three all-Sectional performances - Josie Kinnaman in fourth, Adalyn Cole in 12th, and Kendall Barrett in 20th. Lexie Copeland (24th), and Taylor Cooksey (39th) completed the scoring for the Cougars. Harper Rahe and Addison Gordon also competed in the Sectional.
