The boys tennis team lost to New Pal in the first round of sectionals 2-3. GC started out strong and fought hard in the second set, but was unable to pull off the win. The Cougars had previously lost 1-4 to New Pal in the regular season. This match was much closer but the Cougars were still unable to find the third point they needed. 2 singles Alex Michalek had a great match winning 6-4, 6-3. Michalek finished the season with an impressive 16-2 record. At 1 singles Nathan Roberts won in a third set tie break 7-6(3) 4-6, 7-6(4)to advance in the individual tournament. Roberts is currently 17-1. He will play again next Tuesday. The team finished the season 12-4 and 4-3 in conference.
