The Cougars finished 9th in the Championship Race at the Flashrock Invitational which had 7 teams in the top 35 in the state. Sophomore Bryce Cotterman, was the top Cougar for the first time in his career. Cotterman didn't let the heat bother him in route to a personal best time of 16:41 which placed him 32nd with the top 35 receiving medals. David Wasson was the next Cougar in 52nd in 17:07. Peter Hummel and Jack Wait both weren't far off their best times with Hummel finishing 54th in 17:10 and Wait finishing 62nd in 17:15. Henry Rahe was the final scoring Cougar finishing 75th in 17:30. Otto Sickels had another good race breaking 18 for the 2nd time running 17:52 to finish 92nd. Adam Shields continued to impress with his best race for the 3rd week in a row. Shields dropped 26 seconds off his pr to finish 120th with a time of 18:47. The last five Cougars on varsity got separated from most of the field, and due to a poorly marked course and following a runner who took a wrong turn, they all cut the course short. Josiah Johnson was on pace to shatter his pr, and Hudson Flink was right on his pr pace at the 2 mile. Fred Gordon was the first Cougar of the 5 followed by Johnson, Flink, Isaac Berty, and Nick Ryba. The JV runners ran two hours after the varsity, during which time the temperature vastly increased. Ben Flora was the top jv runner finishing 93rd in 19:34. Kaden Tompkins finished 313th in 23:58. Michael Peterson finished 334th in 24:42. Brandon Peterson with a great sprint to the finish line to pass a competitor finished 371st in 27:43. Gabe Zeinner ran a season best time of 28:59 to finish 375th.
