The girls varsity volleyball team lost to New Castle 3-1 in their match on Thursday night. Despite leading most of the first set, the Cougars lost 23-25. Greenfield-Central came back in set two, and dominated with a score of 25-16. The Trojans led most throughout set 3 and got the win with a score of 25-13. The Cougars were unable to take the lead in set four, and New Castle defeated Greenfield-Central 25-20 to walk away with the win three sets to one. The Cougars are now 10-5 this season. Their next game is home against Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, September 17.
