Varsity Football vs Mt Vernon High School (Fortville) (43 - 29) Win - September 6, 2024 The GC Cougars were victorious Friday night against Mount Vernon. After a slow start in the first half, the Cougars came out in the second half and put Mount Vernon away with a score of 43-29. The Cougars were led on offense by Dallas Freeman (3 Tds) Payton Foley (3 Tds) and Cooper Hinton. The Cougar offense put up over 400 yards of offense. Andrew Trabel was 3/3 on PaTs making him 13/13 on the year. The Cougar Defense was led by several outstanding performances. Zach Waterman and Carson Anderson both had Interceptions in critical parts of the game, Cooper Hinton was once again a dominant force blocking a punt and making several key stops. Junior Kicker Memphis Blevens also did a nice job with several onside kicks and had 1 touchback.
