The varsity volleyball team played a hard-fought match on Thursday against their county rivals, New Palestine. The Dragons took set one 25-20, and set two 25-17. The Cougars were tied with New Pal 19-19 in the third set, then won the next 6 points in a row to win 25-19. New Pal jumped out to a big lead of 11-2 in the fourth set. The Cougars were able to narrow their lead down to 4 points at 15-19, but ultimately the Dragons finished the set 25-19. Greenfield-Central is now 8-2 this season and 1-1 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference.
