The JV Girls Basketball team traveled to Martinsville last night for their 2nd game of the season. The Martinsville squad was shorthanded due to a rash of injuries, which resulted in the JV game only being 2 quarters. As was the case on Tuesday night, a slow started by the Cougars led to another close loss. The Cougars had nine players see action, with everyone having some positive plays that the team can build on. For the two quarters the Cougars had a trio of scorers with 5 points each. Those three players were the Emmerling sisters Brooklynn and Brielle, and Renasia Walker. The Lady Cougars are back in action on Saturday morning when they travel to Shelbyville for a 11:00am tip-off. The Varsity game will follow at approximately 12:30.
