Varsity volleyball had their third 5-set match of the season and this time they came up victorious. The first set was point-for-point, with Lawrence Central taking the win by a narrow score of 26-24. The Cougars struggled to score and control the ball in the second set, and the Bears took the set 25-22. GC was able to turn things around in the third set and take the win 25-20 to keep the match going. The Cougars forced a fifth set when they won set four 25-21. The varsity volleyball team fought hard and won the match in set five 15-10. In tonight's match, senior Alex Muegge recorded her 1000th career dig! Congratulations, Alex! Varsity volleyball is now 12-8 this season. Next they will take on Yorktown High School in a conference match on 9/23.
