The varsity volleyball team was able to secure the first set against the Avon Orioles, but sets two through four didn't go the way the Cougars were hoping. In set one, the Cougars took the win 25-21. GC couldn't carry that momentum into the second set, and lost it 25-18. Avon got on a long scoring run in set three and the Cougars couldn't climb out of the deficit, resulting in a loss of set three for the Cougars 25-15. In the fourth and final set, GC showed some improvement and promising moments, however the final score was 25-19 Avon. Varsity volleyball is now 10-7 this season.
