women's soccer Varsity vs Bishop Chatard High School (3 - 2) Win COUGARS COMPLETE THE COMEBACK! A sunny, cool evening turned into a thriller as the Cougars traveled to face 2A No. 14 Bishop Chatard. GC came out attacking early. At the 9-minute mark, Aubrey Bush broke in behind the defense after a great service from Lucy Blanton, but the shot just missed wide left. Bishop Chatard struck first in the 14th minute and added another in the 28th to take a 2–0 lead. But the Cougars never backed down. Caroline Felver came up with several huge saves to keep GC within striking distance. Then came the comeback. 2nd half, 2:00 minutes in — GOAL! Aubrey Bush finishes off a beautiful assist from Ainsley Robinson to cut the deficit to 2–1. 3:00 minutes in — TIED! Jessica Kleinknight earns the penalty kick, and Ainsley Robinson buries it from the spot. 2–2. The Cougars kept pushing, and with 8 minutes remaining… Ainsley finds the back of the net to put GC ahead 3–2! 🐾💙💛 From there, the defense battled and Caroline Felver continued to come up with clutch saves (17) including one with just a minute remaining.
