The GC Women's Cross Country team traveled to Marion to compete in the Eric Jackson/Wildcat Classic hosted at Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday. The Cougars placed 8th in a field that consisted of 23 teams, seven of which are ranked in the top 25 in the latest IATCCC Poll. Mia Brinkruff (12th/18:44), Josie Kinnaman (16th/19:09), and Adalyn Cole (34th/19:56) medaled and led the team effort. Kamryn Smith (88th/21:39) and Aspen Wiswell (122nd/22:35) completed the scoring for GC. Cerenity Minchin (150th/23:22), Alex Hubbard (153rd/23:31), Zayleigh Hinds (172nd/24:48), and Rylan Ford (189th/25:49) also competed in the varsity race. Collette Ott (53rd/25:39), Paige Coughenour (79th/27:14), Taylor Kelly (83rd/27:35), and Katie Taylor (93rd/28:33) competed in the JV race. Kelly had a personal best performance, and Brinkruff, Cole, Coughenour, and Taylor had season best performances.
