GC Women's Cross Country takes 3rd at Mt. Vernon Invitational, 2nd in Hancock County

The Greenfield-Central Women's cross Country team competed at the Mt. Vernon Invitational on Saturday. GC was led by top 20 performances of Mia Brinkruff (4th), Josie Kinnaman (5th), Adalyn Cole (11th), and Kamryn Smith (19th). Aspen Wiswell placed 32nd to round out the scoring 5 for GC. Also competing in the varsity race were Harper Rahe (44th), Eryn Erwin (45th), Alex Hubbard (52nd), Cerenity Minchin (55th), Zayleigh Hinds (60th), and Brylee Whitehouse (63rd). Competing in the JV race were Rylan Ford (21st), Collette Ott (22nd), Paige Coughenour (39th), Katie Taylor (52nd), and Kaiden Frischkorn (60th). Team Results: 1 Whiteland - 29 2 New Palestine - 56 3 Greenfield-Central - 64 4 Cathedral - 89 5 Mt. Vernon - 121 6 Morristown - 177 - Eastern Hancock - INC - Classical Academy - INC - Blackford - INC - Lapel - INC The Hancock County meet was run concurrently during the Invitational. GC placed a close 2nd to New Palestine. The Cougars were led by the all-Hancock County performances of Mia Brinkruff (2nd), Josie Kinnaman (3rd), and Adalyn Cole (7th).
