GC Tennis Wins Franklin Community Invitational for Fourth Straight Year Greenfield-Central Tennis captured the Franklin Community Invitational for the fourth consecutive year, putting together a strong performance across three full rounds of tennis. The Cougars set the tone early, sweeping Mooresville 5-0 in Round 1. In the second round, GC mixed up the lineup, giving several players the opportunity to compete in singles and doubles for the first time this season. The Cougars responded with a 3-2 victory over Franklin Community. After a long day of tennis, GC closed out the tournament with a 4-1 win over Greenwood in Round 3. Three Cougars—Nathan Roberts, Jack Herrin, and Kayden Green—finished the day undefeated, each going 3-0. The Franklin Community Invitational is always a unique and challenging event, with each team playing three full matches in one day. The Cougars showed their depth, competed hard throughout the day, and once again brought home the tournament championship.
