The GC Boys Tennis team opened the season with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Silver Creek. The day was originally scheduled to feature the Cougar Round Robin Tournament, but Mother Nature had other plans. GC and Silver Creek were still able to get a dual match in, relocating indoors to the Community Sports and Wellness Center in Pendleton. 1s Nathan Roberts took the first point of the match, followed by 2d Jack Herrin/Kayden Green to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. Silver Creek then tied it back 2-2 after taking 1d and 2s. With the match tied 2-2, everything came down to 3s. After dropping the first set 4-6 and falling behind in the second, Nash Berty battled back to take the second set 7-5. Berty then held on to take the deciding tiebreak, winning 11-9 to clinch the match for GC!
