August 6, 2026 - Our girls second match was at Greenbelt Golf Course in Columbus. We played against Columbus East and Whiteland. Whiteland came in first with the low score of 193. Our Greenfield Central team came in second shooting 206 while Columbus East followed with a 208. The medalist was Riley from Whiteland, shooting a 42. Pete Dye courses are always a challenge. Aly Wilson attributes her low score of 46 to playing often during the summer. Her best shot was hole #1. She was 77 yards out for her second shot and hit the pin. If the pin wasn't there it would have gone in giving her an eagle. She added she needs to work on her hip rotation with her driver. Rylee Conaway shot a 48, Leighanna Gibbs 50, Brooklyn Study 62 and Charlotte Sible and Evelyn Sizemore both shot 63. Friday's practice will focus on bunker shots, lining up and irons.
