Saturday morning the Lady Cougars defeated Guerin Catholic 7-6 in a weather shortened game. The Golden Eagles scored 3 times in the 1st. The cougars would get a run in the 1st on a sacrifice fly by Charlotte Riehle scoring Kristen Wineinger. Guerin would put up another run in the 2nd making it 4-1. In the bottom of the 4th the cougars would score 6 runs powered by a Riehle single scoring Tovaria Smith, Chesney Herbst doubled scoring Savvanna Riall and Sam Campbell. Herbst advanced to 3rd on a fielder's choice and scored on a passed ball making it 7-4. The Golen Eagles would score 2 in the 5th to make 7-6. Addi Heacox got the win going 5 innings allowing 5 hit and 2 earned runs, striking out 3. The Lady Cougars are back in action at Shelbyville Monday night at 7;30.
