Senior Night was a special evening for Cougar Tennis as the team celebrated its two seniors, Lila Wagner and Kate Baker, for their dedication and leadership throughout their careers. Both athletes have been outstanding examples of sportsmanship, leadership, and selflessness, while serving as positive teammates and role models for the younger players in the program. The Cougars battled hard Monday night but came up just short in a 2-3 loss to Yorktown. The deciding match came down to a tightly contested No. 1 doubles battle, where Lauren Page and Lucy Stewart narrowly fell 6-7, 5-7. The Cougars earned varsity victories from: No. 1 singles: Kate Gilkison, 6-2, 6-2 No. 2 doubles: Chloe Kiser and Anna McQueeney, 6-4, 7-6 Other varsity results included: No. 3 singles: Audrey Marcum fought through a competitive match before falling 5-7, 1-6 No. 2 singles: Chaille Fry fell 1-6, 3-6 The JV team also competed hard, falling 3-6 overall. JV winners for the Cougars were Lila Wagner, Kate Baker, Chloe Takach, Audrey Hart, Josey Shanton, and Finja Konow.
