The Cougars bounced back in a big way Thursday night, taking game two of the doubleheader 11-2 over Pendleton Heights to salvage a split. Walker Miller had the night of his life at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and seven RBIs. Greenfield-Central jumped ahead 3-1 in the first and never looked back, posting four-run innings in both the fifth and the sixth. Steven Walker continued his strong run on the mound, throwing six innings while striking out eleven and allowing just two earned runs. Brady Martin came on to finish the seventh. Hayden Zellers reached base in all four trips with a hit, three walks, and three runs scored. Hayden Kidd added two hits and two RBIs, and Cooper Safford chipped in another. The Cougars ran wild on the basepaths, swiping six bases as a team. A complete team effort to wrap up the night and split the doubleheader.
