The Cougars picked up a statement win on the road Saturday night, shutting out the Fishers Tigers 3-0 behind a dominant outing from Steven Walker. Walker was lights out from the first pitch, going 6.2 innings while scattering just four hits. He struck out seven, walked four, and allowed zero runs against one of the toughest lineups in the area. The offense did just enough against a tough Fishers staff. Cooper Safford led the way with two hits including a double and an RBI. Jacob Welch added a double and drove in a run, and Hayden Kidd plated another. Hayden Zellers, Gavin Markus, and Gage Handlon each scored a run. Hunter Robling came on in the seventh to record the final out and lock down the win. The defense was sharp behind Walker, playing an error-free game and giving him every chance to dominate.
