Von Quigley and Memphis Blevens competed in the Throws Showcase at Churubusco. Von finished 3rd in the discus with a throw of 167'8" and Memphis finished 11th with a throw of 142'6". In the shot put, Von threw 47'5.5" to finish 10th, and Memphis threw 46'11" to finish 11th.
