Josie Kinnaman led the way with a strong performance, running 11:10 for her second-fastest 3200-meter time to date. Kinnaman controlled her race well and continues to show consistency as one of the program’s top distance runners. Adalyn Cole delivered one of the biggest positives of the meet, turning in a personal best of 11:44. Dropping 14 seconds, Cole showed significant improvement and took a major step forward, highlighting the progress she has made this season. For Mia Brinkruff, the race proved to be a tough one. After a strong stretch of performances this season, Brinkruff ran 11:40 in what was an uncharacteristically difficult outing. Despite the result, the freshman has already established herself as a key piece of the Cougars’ distance group, and races like this are often part of the growth process for developing athletes. The meet overall served as a reminder of the ups and downs that come with distance racing. From personal breakthroughs to challenging races, Greenfield-Central experienced it all at Carmel. With postseason competition approaching, the Cougars will look to build on the positives and continue progressing as a group.
