The Greenfield-Central golf team faced a stern test of endurance and precision this past weekend, competing in the talent-heavy Warrior Invite at Twin Bridges Golf Course. The Cougars battled to a 14th-place finish in a field featuring several of the state's top-ranked programs. Known for its tight fairways and undulating green complexes, Twin Bridges lived up to its reputation as a "shot-maker's course." High winds and firm conditions early in the round forced players to focus on damage control and strategic ball-placement rather than aggressive pin-hunting. The bright spot for the Cougars was the consistent play at the top of the lineup. Carver Swardson and McCoy Wilson showed remarkable symmetry, both carding rounds of 88 to lead the team.
