The Cougar Sophomores had a good day at the Bob Potter Field Event Classic Friday night at Lawrence North. In a field event only meet with top competition from around the state, Von Quigley won the discus setting another Greenfield-Central school record. Quigley's winning toss of 177'0" beat out second place by over 13 feet. Quigley also threw about a 2.5 foot PR in the shot put to finish 5th with a throw of 53'9" putting him about 3 feet behind the school record. Sophomore, Will Parker, cleared a new pr of 13 feet in the pole vault to finish runner up in the event. Also competing was Memphis Blevens in the discus and shot put. Blevens finished 7th in the discus with a throw of 141'8", and 10th in the shot put with a throw of 48'5" both respectable throws but a little shy of his prs. Liam Taylor competed in the pole vault but unfortunately did not clear his starting height.
