Cougar Baseball Secures Sweep vs Delta, 13-1

Cougar Baseball completed the conference sweep vs Delta Wednesday night, rolling to a 13-1 win on the road to move to 4-0 in conference play and 7-3 on the season. Brady Martin was solid on the mound, working 4 strong innings allowing just 1 earned run while striking out 4 to earn the win. Kasen Jarnecke came on and closed things out with a perfect inning of relief. The Cougars put the game away with a massive 8-run fifth inning to end it early. Hayden Kidd continued his power surge, going yard again and finishing 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs. Gage Handlon had a standout night going 3-for-3 with a double and 3 runs scored. Gavin Markus also went 3-for-3. Hayden Zellers finished 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBIs. Henry Close drove in 3 runs and Cooper Safford added an RBI as well. The Cougars travel to Center Grove on Friday before heading to Fishers on Saturday to close out the week.
