GC Women's Track off to Strong Start

Camilla Aldridge Leads Sprint Surge as Cougars Dominate Top Finishes The Greenfield-Central girls track and field team delivered an impressive all-around performance, highlighted by dominant sprinting, strong showings in the field events, and multiple event victories across the meet. Freshman Camilla Aldridge set the tone early, capturing first place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.15, while Ainsley Robinson followed closely behind in second at 13.56 to give the Cougars a 1-2 finish. Aldridge also picked up another win in the 400 meters, crossing in 1:06.97, while Ashlyn Crosby added a second-place finish to complete another strong showing in the event. On the track, Juliann Jones claimed the 200 meter title in 27.38 and added a win in the long jump with a mark of 16 feet, 7.25 inches. In the distance events, Adalyn Cole led a strong effort with a first-place finish in the 1600 meters at 5:27.47, followed by Alexis Kerkhof in second. The hurdles group dominated their events, led by Brooklyn Emmerling, who swept both the 100 meter hurdles (17.34) and 300 meter hurdles (53.51). Teammates Eloise Winkler and Cerenity Minchin added second- and third-place finishes in the 100 hurdles, while Minchin also placed second in the 300 hurdles. Greenfield-Central continued its success in the relays, winning both the 4x100 meter relay (54.64) and the 4x400 meter relay (4:39.93), while also securing a runner-up finish in the 4x800 relay. In the field events, the Cougars showed impressive depth and dominance. Hadley Hill led the way with wins in both the discus (104 feet, 11 inches) and shot put (31 feet, 5 inches), while Evelyn Schini finished second in both events. In the pole vault, Aspen Wiswell claimed first place, followed by Zoey Bauer in second and Gwenyth Mies in third to complete a sweep. Laila Avery added another win in the high jump.
